Casa Clara was built by its owners, an artistic couple whose eye for detail extends from the structural beams overhead to the framed oils on the walls, all painted by the family. This is a holiday home for the artistic.
The interior moves between warmth and light. Exposed dark timber ceiling beams contrast with white-rendered walls and wide-arched doorways. Floors run in pale wood-look tile throughout, keeping rooms cool and the feel coherent. The living space opens into a gallery-hung stairwell, framed works climbing the wall as the staircase rises. The whole arrangement has an easy, unhurried logic to it.
For Musicians, a message from the owners:
As a home built on a profound love for the arts, we are pleased to offer use of our professional-grade piano to proficient and accomplished musicians. To maintain the instrument’s delicate internal action and concert-standard tuning, we limit its use to those who can play with a professional level of care and reverence. If you would like the piano to be made available for your stay, please contact us in advance so we can discuss your requirements and ensure the instrument is ready for your performance.
This villa is best suited for adults and families with older children.
The master suite occupied the top floor and is a room worth arriving for. Exposed beans, a generous double bed, and through an arched opening, an en-suite with a freestanding bathroom and walk-in marble-walled shower. There are four further bedrooms, three on the ground floor along with two bathrooms and one at pool level, also with it's own bathroom.
Arranged across three distinct levels, Villa Casa Clara offers a thoughtful layout that provides a sense of "natural separation"—perfect for large families or groups of couples seeking a balance of social connection and private retreat.
The Main Level: Upon entry, you are welcomed into a light-filled lounge that flows seamlessly into a chef-grade kitchen and utility room. This floor serves as the heart of the home, hosting three comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a guest WC. From here, step directly onto the shaded terrace and alfresco cooking area for effortless indoor-outdoor living.
The Master Bedroom: Occupying the entire top floor, the master suite is a private sanctuary featuring exposed beams and an arched en-suite bathroom complete with a freestanding bath and marble-walled shower.
The Garden Level: Located in the basement at pool level, a further bedroom with an en-suite bathroom provides quiet seclusion.
The garden and terrace area is designed for long days outdoors. A large private pool sits alongside a substantial hot tub. A shaded pergola terrace with dining furniture sits at the back of the house, with an outdoor kitchenette and gas BBQ for evenings when cooking outside makes more sense than going in.
There's also a wicker canopied day-bed for afternoon reading. Solar panels on the roof, parking for two cars under a covered portico, and air conditioning throughout complete the picture.
