The Mijas hills offer a different kind of Costa del Sol holiday — quieter, greener and more private than the coastal strip, with the kind of rural Andalucian character that's increasingly hard to find. Both of our villas here sit in Las Lagunas de Mijas, an inland area of the Mijas municipality, surrounded by countryside and benefiting from the slightly cooler temperatures that come with the elevation.

Both properties have private pools, three bedrooms and sleeping capacity for six to eight guests — well suited to families or groups of friends who want space and privacy rather than a hotel or resort complex. Fuengirola and La Cala de Mijas beach are both within a ten-minute drive, and Marbella is under half an hour, so the coast is always accessible when you want it.
